Launching the new generation of car seats and strollers

With a new product launch comes all new packaging, instruction manuals, and labels to accompany our car seat, strollers and accessories.

Here I worked closely with our industrial designer to come up with a "G3" logo that closely matched it's predecessor called "G2".

An example of my label design inside the base of the car seat attachment. All labels had to meet strict regulatory requirements (font size, colors, image sizes, language requirements) required by law.

Below is an example of our manuals that would be included in the boxes for the product. I managed an illustrator to assist me with some of the line art. I worked in InDesign to create booklets that were over 400+ pages and in laid out design in 20 languages.

I worked closely with the Marketing Manager to implement the graphics on the Spa Kit. (it's a eco friendly stroller cleaning care kit) I laid out the artwork, choose the pantone colors, completed the file so it was press ready.

The Launch of the New Packaging

With the launch of our new line called "G3", how can we make our packaging better than our previous "G2" line?
I went to multiple big box retailers and boutique stores and realized that there was never enough storage space to put our shipping boxes in the warehouse. They almost always ended up making it onto the floor.
At a $980 price point, I wanted to make our packaging stand out to increase brand awareness while maintaining a high end look. I transformed all of our products from a brown box into a green box, which is our company color.

Needless to say, I was thrilled to see so many green boxes tagged on #orbitbaby instagram. After the G3 launch, I went to go check out some retailer stores and saw the green box being used in a store window display!

Orbit Baby G3 boxes ready to be shipped from the factory! After many iterations with the marketing team, the box was transformed into a green and white box, making it stand out more compared to the brown box. The white band on the box started at the same height across all of our products so when you put them side by side--they matched! The large color stickers were reduced down in size making the cost comparable.

During my time at Orbit Baby I was tasked to convert all brown accessory boxes into our new full color scheme printed on a white box.
